Together for a healthy future
The Erasmus MC Foundation is the official support fund of Erasmus MC. It's also the place where all fundraising initiatives of Erasmus MC come together. The foundation supports physicians and researchers in their pursuit of a better outlook for patients and a healthier future for all.
That's why the foundation raises money to support groundbreaking scientific research and projects to improve patient care and well-being. On 1 December 2019, the foundation received the so-called Erkenning Goed Doel, issued by Centraal Bureau Fondsenwerving (CBF), the Dutch independent regulator for charities.
The Rotterdam Cycling Festival has chosen to enter into a partnership to jointly raise funds for Erasmus MC Foundation projects in the coming years.
L’Étape Rotterdam Charity Rides
De bekende fondsenwervende toertochten van Tour de Rotterdam heten voortaan L’Étape Rotterdam by Tour de France charity rides. Deelnemers krijgen als extra de beleving van de Tour de France tijdens hun rit. Een betere manier om de tiende editie van het evenement te vieren is er niet. Het begon allemaal tijdens de Grand Départ in 2010 en door de koppeling met L’Étape by Tour de France is de cirkel nu rond. De komende editie staat in het teken van Maak Kanker Kansloos! Samen de strijd aangaan voor een betere behandeling van kanker. Het doel: iedere patiënt het juiste medicijn, in de juiste dosis, op het juiste moment en voor de juiste duur voor een maximaal resultaat. Want ieder mens is anders.
De charity rides bestaan uit twee family rides van 25 en 45 kilometer en drie toertochten van 80, 105 en 125 kilometer. Ook is het mogelijk om deel te nemen aan de Pelotonstocht van 130 kilometer met start en finish bij RWC Ahoy langs de landingsbaan van Rotterdam-The Hague Airport.
